Interpretations Of Note

fallen_stageEveryone has their own way of viewing the character, right? Well, I thought I'd write down what's notable about how I perceive, and thus play, Kuja. I try to keep things canon, but there are fun little whatifs that add color to RP. So let's get that rundown going, shall we?~
-Obviously I'm playing canon Kuja, so don't expect much Dissidia-based stuff. (although the fuck-you to gravity is tempting)
-I always RP kuja as trans. I have RP'd him as a binary trans man in the past, but right now I have him in a settled nonbinary gender. For convenience he goes along with being gendered male and using he/him/his pronouns and masculine words. So, probably won't come up right away, if at all, but I'm not gonna make it a secret, either.
-Kuja's is a Red Mage. Obviously because of his use of both white and black magic, but I also think that his hair is pale (instead of the usual Genome blond) because of that - all the other Red Mages you meet also have pale hair, so I assume it's part of the training. Kuja will not admit to once being blond unless under duress.
-He uses his magic to hide his tail (Vanish, maybe?).
-I'm taking artistic license and assuming he knows a lot of the more basic white/black spells, like Cure, Pancea, Fire, Sleep, etc. For one thing, he uses Sleep in a cutscene on Dagger. For another, one does not go from nothing to 100% - I'm assuming he's using only the more powerful spells against Zidane et co. - no reason to waste MP on weak attacks.
-Speaking of Dagger, he doesn't actually love her, just likes playacting flowering speeches with her. A princess is such a romantic concept! So it's more for Kuja's own delight in drama than real tender feelings.
-I do plan on dropping hints in DDD of how Kuja came to be associated with the King family in Treno. For now, the Sparknotes of it is, Kuja's connection publicly is just business, but has a private one too. Scandalous!
